In a career spanning almost 40 years within art and design. Matteo began as an Art Director in retail and over a 9 year period evolved into a Creative Director. Then 24 years ago took over as Head Designer for the most prominent glass decorators in the world. Owned by the glass family dynasty, The Bormioli's. Today he leads their design and marketing business area.
With seasonality a key factor in tailoring designs for global markets. Matteo produces 50 designs for Cerve group. These designs are focused for Spring Summer, Autumn, Christmas and Global isolated market trends.
A significant strength in Matteo's design abilities, are the creation of private label designs.
These designs can be created by the customers design team, and Matteo has to then curate the artwork to make it feasible for glass decoration to encompass visual balance on the glass.
In addition customers can select Cerve Group designs and ask for Matteo to amend them to fit their brief or customer market demographic by adding or removing component artwork.
Finally Matteo's core strength is to create a designs based on a customer brief. Matteo produces between 150 -200 of these per year.
